Can a social misfit land right side up in an upside down world? WRONG WAY UP is a coming-of-age rock-musical that charts the course of Arthur, a misdirected, unlikely rebel stumbling through adolescence and the adventures of adulthood. The story takes us from Syracuse, NY, to the heart of New York City, exploring the dogmas of family, identity, and success. The show features a vibrant rock/soul score, and combines a fresh array of character-driven drama, comedy, stand-up, and vaudevillian charm! "Wrong Way UP" is the follow-up to our off-Broadway hit, "The Niagara Follies", which won rave reviews from critcs and audiences alike.
The producers for ‘Wrong Way Up’ are Andrew Mctiernan of The New York Performance group (just produced 'Joe Fearless' at the Atlantic Theater Company), Patrick Blake of Cold Productions (most recently did 'The Imaginary Invalid' at the NYPW, directed by Billy Hopkins, as well as co-producer of 'Joe Fearless'), and Brent Peek, who also produced 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The director, Trent Jones, has worked at HERE and the Atlantic Theater Company, amongst other work.
